Q. What is gHealth Term Takaful Plan?

A. The gHealth Term Takaful Plan offers coverage to all new and existing Petron PMiles members. Covered Members will be able to enjoy the first month coverage for free, subsequently renewed PMiles members are covered up to RM5,000 for Natural Death and RM25,000 for Accidental Death, depending on the monthly fuel spending. The renewed PMiles members will be covered up to RM10,000 death benefit due to COVID-19 between 31 August 2021 until 31 December 2021*.

Q. Who is eligible for the gHealth Term Takaful Plan?

A. All PMiles members who are Malaysians and permanent residents of Malaysia in the age range of 19 to 60 Age Next Birthday are eligible to subscribe for this plan.

Q. Do I need to be a Petron PMiles member to register for the gHealth Term Takaful Plan?

A. Yes. This plan is only available to Petron PMiles members.

Q. What does the complimentary one-month gHealth Term Takaful Plan covers?

A. The one-month complimentary gHealth Term Takaful Plan offers coverage of RM1,000 on Natural Death and RM5,000 on Accidental Death on the first month the PMiles member upon commencement. The coverage will begin on the 1st of the following month upon subscription to the plan. Each eligible PMiles member can enjoy the complimentary coverage once.

Q. Is the one-month complimentary takaful coverage transferable?

A. No, it is NOT transferable and cannot be assigned to another person.

Q. How can I continue to be covered under the gHealth Term Takaful Plan after the expiry of the one month complimentary coverage?

A. PMiles members will be able to renew their coverage after the expiry of the one-month complimentary takaful coverage in the subsequent month as long as PMiles member have made a minimum fuel spending of RM50 with Petron, irrespective of fuel type on or before the 25th day of month prior to the renewal of the takaful coverage is due.

Q. What is the effective date of the complimentary gHealth Term Takaful Plan?

A. The effective date of takaful coverage is on the 1st of the following month upon successful subscription to the plan.

Q. When is the effective date of the renewal of the gHealth Term Takaful Plan after the expiry of the one month complimentary takaful coverage?

A. The effective date of the renewal of the gHealth Term Takaful Plan is on the 1stof the following month, after the expiry of the one-month complimentary takaful coverage, provided that the PMiles member has made a minimum fuel spending of RM50 with Petron on or before the 25th of the month prior to the renewal of the takaful coverage is due.

Q. How long will my gHealth Term Takaful Plan be in force?

A. Coverage will continue as long as you remain opt-in in the gHealth Term Takaful Plan and meet the minimum fuel spending with Petron.

Q. How can I register for the gHealth Term Takaful Plan?

A. You can register for the gHealth Term Takaful Plan via https://ghealth.com/campaign/ua/petronmiles

Q. How would I know that I have been covered under this Takaful coverage?

A. Once you have opt-in and subscribed to the plan via gHealth website or app, you will receive an email confirmation from Gloco which will be sent to you within 24 hours. Please verify your email and login to gHealth.com with your email address and the password provided in the same email. You will be able to access your current and previous coverage details under the “My Coverage” option.

Q. If I choose to opt-out during the program, will there be any refunds?

A. In the event the Covered Member wishes to terminate or opt-out from the complimentary coverage or renewal gHealth Term Takaful Plan, there will be no refund of PMiles Points or in kind.

Q. How can I opt-out from the program?

A. Opt-out can be done by sending an email to optout@ghealth.com with your full name, NRIC, contact number and PMiles Card number.

Q. Can I participate again after I opt-out and will I still qualify for the same plan?

A. Yes, you can always change your mind after opt-out but you will not be entitled for a fresh one (1) month complimentary gHealth Term Takaful Plan. You will be eligible for the renewal of gHealth Term Takaful Plan subject to fulfilling the Eligible Renewal Criteria.

Q. Why do I have to make a nomination?

A. The Covered Member is encouraged to complete the nomination form in naming his/her nominee(s). In the event of claim, your nominee will be receiving the benefit. Nomination is important to ensure that your loved ones will receive the protection as intended by you and benefits can be paid out by PruBSN without any delay.

If there is no nomination or if the nomination form is incomplete or not submitted to Gloco or PruBSN at the time of claim is submitted, the claim payment will be made to the your lawful executor or administrator to distribute it in accordance to the applicable laws of distribution. The process may take a while.

Q. Who can I nominate?

A. The nominee has to be an individual. Nomination of an organization is not allowed. If your nominee is below the age of 18 at the point of claim, the benefits will be paid to the surviving parent or a proper claimant i.e. legal guardian, subject to the relevant legal evidence/supporting documents.

Q. Who is the Takaful operator providing the complimentary the Term Takaful coverage?

A. The Takaful coverage is underwritten by Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad, one of Malaysia’s leading Takaful operator.

Q. What should I do if I forgot my gHealth password?

A. To reset your password, follow the steps below:

1. CLICK ‘Forgot Password?’ after the ‘Sign In’ button 

2. Enter your email address or phone number used to register gHealth

3. Enter the OTP code to reset password

Q. Do I need to pay for the renewal of the gHealth Term Takaful Plan?

A. PMiles members will need to make a minimum fuel spending of RM50 with Petron on or before the 25th of the month prior to the renewal of the takaful coverage is due. The PMiles points earned will be deducted from the members’ account for the renewal.

Q. What are the charges under gHealth Term Takaful Plan?

A. Upfront Wakalah Charge of 50% will be taken from your contribution and the remaining 50% of the contribution will be allocated into the Tabarru` Fund as the Tabarru` Deduction.

Q. Do I need to use my PMiles card to collect PMiles points during fuel spending for renewing the gHealth Term Takaful Plan?

A. Yes, you will need to use your PMiles card to collect PMiles point upon fuel spending at Petron. Your PMiles points will be automatically deducted for the renewal of gHealth Term Takaful Plan upon meeting the renewal criteria.

Q. What are the eligible spending that would enable me to renew the gHealth Term Takaful Plan?

A. All fuel spending, except spending in Petron Treats Convenience Store

Q. Can I carry forward my PMiles points to the following month to make up the required minimum points for higher coverage?

A. Yes. Your PMiles points will automatically be carried forward to the following month. However, the requirement for minimum fuel spending of RM50 on or before the 25th of the month will still apply.

Q. What if I have more than one (1) PMiles Card?

A. You can maintain all your PMiles Card, however only one PMiles membership per NRIC number will be recognize for the gHealth Term Takaful Plan. No additional PMiles points will be deducted from the other PMiles cards.

Q. I just started to be a PMiles member, will there be any fees for registration?

A. New PMiles Members will be registered at no cost but will need to complete their registration via SMS, over the counter at the Petron petrol stations or website. Please visit https://www.petronmiles.com.my/ for information on PMiles registration.

Q. Can PMiles members who are front liners be eligible for coverage?

A. There is no occupational restriction, as long as you are a registered PMiles member who has met the eligibility criteria.

Q. What is the COVID-19 coverage offered to the renewed PMiles members?

A. The COVID-19 coverage offers death benefit of RM10,000 to the Covered Member due to Covid-19*. Claims submission must be made within 3 months from the date of diagnosis.

*This benefit is valid from 31 August 2021 until 31 Dec 2021 or upon reaching the maximum Covid-19 fund Coverage of RM250,000.
